Iron Man Comic Strip Invitations

Making comic strips is a lot of fun and the Disney comic strip creator is definitely our favorite!  We couldn't wait to share this awesome program with you.  It's packed with a variety of great features to make easy comic strips.

Here's one we did in minutes! (below) Isn't cool?  And it looks like we ordered and paid for it, but NO! This comic strip creator is from Disney and they have made it very user friendly.  You can make you're own custom made and personalized Iron Man Invitations, that YOU design......for FREE! This is by far the best kids comic strip creator around.  See pros and cons below.

PROS:

• VERY user friendly
• Has a good selection of character images, graphic backgrounds, expressions.
• Writing Pen - Draw or write in any color, can change thickness of writing.
• Spray Paint (we thought this feature was very cool).
• Background fill in any color.
• Move images and speech bubbles from panel to panel by simply dragging it.
• Color Identifier - find out what a color is and use in other parts of your comic strip, like matching Iron Man's armor color to use in bubble text (see second panel of invitation below).
• Variety of Fonts
• Size Editing of graphics and text
• Can change text color
• Undo and Redo buttons
• Saves up to 5 colors so you can use the same color without having to find it again.
• Easy to download (need to create a free account before saving)

Cons:

• No option to upload your own photos.  So for example, if you wanted to use a picture of your child you could use either of the 2 programs below.

Update: Disney's Marvel comic strip creator is no longer available but the Marvel comic strip creator works very well.

Tip:  Print invitations on card stock or photo paper for a more professional look.

The next 2 comic strip creators were also good,however, we must tell you that we found both programs (Toondoo and Marvel) had some glitches.  Sometimes the editing tools didn't work and sometimes we had to upload the image twice (we use a Mac computer and don't know if that has something to do with it).  But they do come out pretty cool and it's free.  We will compare the 2 programs and give you examples so you can decide. We find the best way to figure out which one we like best is by actually trying it out. 

This is another favorite one because we find it relatively easy to use.  Here are the pros and cons:

Pros:

• Easy to understand
• Good layout selections
• Can upload your own photos from your computer or webpage.
• Drag and drop images into panels
• Easy editing tools
• Layering of images (can put one image in front or behind another)
• You can publish (everyone can see), share (only with your friends) or keep your work private.

Cons:

• Limited clipart
• Printing images with transparent background do not come out transparent.  Resolve this by taking a screen shot of comic strip (unable to drag to desktop).

VIP PASS Ticket Invitations

VIP PASS ticket invitations are always fun and these Iron Man Invitations below are unbelievably easy to do.  You can make these in minutes!! For this example we used "ticket invitation 8". Read the helpful tips below. 

Helpful tips before you start:

• The only thing you need before you start is the image that you want to use.  No need to be precise with image size because you can increase and decrease size when you are editing.
• Use card stock paper (thicker than regular copy paper) for a more professional customized look.  
• All 9 invitation styles DO NOT have the same color and font options. For example, if you want to use the Disney font then Style 8 is not an option.
• Use the big arrows and big "+" and "-" signs for bigger movement of image. Use the smaller arrows and signs for little changes.
• Each ticket measures 6 5/8" (16.8 cm) long by 2 1/4 wide (6.4 cm).
• Set printer to "best" quality for brighter look.

Iron Man Invitation Template

Here's an easy and creative Iron Man Invitation template.  Fill out party information, then put glue across the very top of the "information mask" and place the mask (calling all superheroes) directly on top of the "information mask".

Iron Man Photo Invitation

Here's a fun Iron Man DIY invitation that you can make in minutes!  We love these character templates where you can insert your face.  We've done several of these throughout the years while visiting them parks and now you can do these yourself from the comfort of your own home. The website is Imikimi and they have thousands of backgrounds and frames made by Imikimi users. There are many things you can do with your creations like invitations, posters, tags, party labels and so much more.  You can also make your own kimis but you need to install their plug-in first which is working well for windows but not for iMacs.  If you use a Mac computer like I do they have a similar photo editor program called Kimi Creator that you can use.  

Note:  These backgrounds and frames are made by ordinary people like you and me and therefore some may have a more professional look than others.  Also note that some backgrounds and frames were posted with the text (for example-an invitation) and so those are not usable.  If you want your finished product without their logo you need to become an Imikimi fan ($2.99/month), otherwise you need to sign up which is FREE.

Before you begin, make sure to have the picture you want to use uploaded on your computer and you need to sign up to use their site which is FREE.  To sign up, click here, to make the photo below click here.  This will take you directly to the image below, however, you can also type "iron man" on their search box to see all their options.  

Once there your screen should look like the image below.  Click on "ADD MY PHOTOS" which will take you to where your images are stored. 

Select your photo and then you can edit it.  The "edit" features include resizing, rotating and positioning.  Once you like how your picture looks, it's time to save it.  

Click on "SHARE THIS KIMI" which is found below your finished picture (see image below).

Once you click on "SHARE MY KIMI', a screen will open to the right with multiple sharing and downloading options.  There are multiple ways to share your kimi masterpiece.

• Twitter
• Email
• Pin on Pinterest
• My Space
• Keep Private - Download as a "MAX Quality JPG"  - If you want your finished work just for you then under the heading of "Download", choose "Max Quality JPEG".  This will give you a large image which you can then reduce to the size you want.  Choosing the "High Quality JPEG" will give you a much smaller image.

Remember that if you are not happy with your finished picture, you can always go back and re-do it.  

This is a fun and free way to create lots of fun pictures to use for your party and also makes a great birthday present!
